Situated between Leeds and York, Lotherton Hall is an Edwardian house and garden. With a deer park, bird garden and collection of fine art, it is one of Yorkshire’s premier cultural attractions. In March, its refurbished fashion galleries reopened, creating one of the largest display spaces in the north of England for fashion and textiles. The opening exhibition, Age of Glamour: Fashion from the Fifties, will feature iconic dresses from Dior and Norman Hartnell, as well as ready-to-wear dresses from British designer labels.
The show will explore the post-war period when fashion returned from austerity to elegance.
