I'm passionate about the history of my much-storied isle. I love castles, knights and anything to do with battles and warfare. But English history isn't limited to a narrow topic like castles; the landscape is littered with Stone Circles, Manor Houses, Palaces and Landscaped Gardens. London is centuries of history all piled on top of each other and twisted about - you need a guide to unpick the strands that pique your interest.
Before becoming a guide, I was a Theatre Manager for years in London’s West End. I am also an Actor and besides guiding I also work as a Historic Interpreter at some of our chief historical attractions playing King Henry VIII and Edward I (Longshanks) among others.
Our history is written loud in our grand buildings and cities, yet you will always find peaceful little villages just waiting to tell you their own fascinating stories. I've been guiding for several years now, and I know no one, even the biggest history nerd, wants an unrelenting history lesson all day.
