Introduction:

I am lucky enough live in the heart of London and would love to share my wonderful city with you - sites, or walking tours. With a BA Hons in English Literature, I was a teacher for 26 years before becoming a Blue Badge Guide in 2006 - so I find lots of my clients are school children or families. I also help to organise events for a club for over 50s, so it is a joy to work with all different age groups.

I am happy to show you all the major sites in London that you may have read about in your guide books, whether it's Westminster Abbey, St Paul's Cathedral, the Tower of London, the National Gallery, National Portrait Gallery, Tate Modern and Tate Britain or the British Museum to name some of the most popular. I also enjoy leading guided tours of the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A), Apsley House (the home of the Duke of Wellington), the Wallace Collection, the Dickens' Museum and the Banqueting House.

You might be interested in a walking tour of London and I can offer you specialist literary walks including Dickens, Shakespeare and the Bloomsbury area. Also, the City of London, the City of Westminster (including St James's).

If you prefer your walk to have a focus on legal London my favourite includes the Inns of Court.

If you want to go a little further afield, but within easy reach of central London, you might like to visit the Royal Palaces of Windsor Castle (Queen Elizabeth's favourite English home and where she is buried ) and Hampton Court.

In addition to guiding, for 7 years I was the administrator for the London Blue Badge Training course and I continue to be involved in developing and supporting our new and upcoming Blue Badge Guides.
