Introduction:
Join me in finding out about the History, Culture, Countryside and Personalities in the Heart of England. A region which has fascinated me for over thirty years. With a background in History, Archaeology, Geography and Education I would like to share
my knowledge of this region with you.
After a career as a professional archaeologist working in museums and then a teacher I realised how much I enjoyed showing family and friends the countryside and places in my area. I successfully trained as first a Green Badge guide and then a Blue Badge Guide for my region and now enjoy sharing the countryside, history and culture of the Heart of England with even more people.
I am particularly interested in ceramics and how they have developed in the region especially The Potteries of Stoke on Trent.
I offer pre-booked guided walking tours, both town and country, as well as coach commentaries throughout the Heart of England:
Birmingham, Oxford, Stratford-on-Avon, Gloucester, Shrewsbury, Cheltenham,
Lichfield and the National Memorial Arboretum,
Nottingham, Leicester, Lincoln and Lincolnshire, The Peak District The Cotswolds and The Potteries.
Tours can be either general or with a theme.
