Introduction:

A German speaking 'Londoner':
Having worked part-time in tourism for more than six years whilst studying psychology and medicine in Germany, I came to relish accompanying and organising travel groups of young people aged 18-35 on their tours to various European countries. Apart from travelling, I particularly enjoyed the challenge of dealing with the dynamic aspects of such groups.

Since then, I qualified as a medical practitioner in the early 90's, and after extensive specialist training both in Germany and the UK as a psychiatrist. Having worked in the NHS in England and London for many years I experienced countless aspects of life in Britain I would never have come to know otherwise. With lecturing, teaching and supervision of medical students and junior colleagues I continued practising my communication skills with groups. A healthy appetite for culture and a good sense of direction helped me explore London and the UK for the past twenty five years, also with my spare-time hat on.

However, life is about balance. I have much reduced my psychiatric work to use my resources in another walk of life. Hence, combining my longstanding interest and experience in working with people with my love for London and beyond, working now as a qualified Blue Badge tourist guide is an ideal addition to my life.
