Introduction:

Studied English at Oxford, then trained as an actor at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. 38 years' experience of radio, stage, film & T.V, including roles in "Eastenders" "The Bill" and "Father Brown". Recently I appeared in "Doctor Who-The Giggle" and as King George IV in "Royal Autopsy". I spent four years with the RSC, working with Kenneth Branagh, Robert Stephens and Jude Law. I Starred as Toad in "Wind in the Willows" at the Old Vic, Boris Johnson in "Dom" at The Other Palace Studio, Theatre Royal, Windor and The Assembly Rooms, Edinburgh and as Dame Dolly in "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" at the Princes Theatre, Clacton-on-Sea. I have also played Winston Churchill in three movies "De Gaulle", "Sardar Udham" and "Bonhoeffer".
Awarded Heart of England Blue Badge 2007. I work extensively with student groups, conducting site visits, offering walks and coach tours. Passionate devotee of Elvis, defender of Richard III and ever-hopeful follower of Fulham FC!

Literary walks and talks by English literature graduate ( 1985, M.A (Hons) in English Literature from Oxford University ). Particularly interested in London connections of Dickens and Shakespeare. Appeared in summer 2016 in "The Comedy of Errors" and "Much Ado
About Nothing" for Guildford Shakespeare Company.
