Hello there.
I have been a London Blue Badge tourist guide for the last 6 years and I love my job! I have a broad range of interests across the arts and sciences. For many years I was a professional actor and rock musician, working in both the West End & on TV, as well as gigging throughout Europe. My degree however is in environmental sciences, so I have a great working knowledge of the natural environment, archaeology & geology.
My specialty walks include Rock 'n' Roll tours, Theatre history, Shakespeare & Charles Dickens walks, as well as walks on the life & times of Winston Churchill and the Great Fire of 1666. I would love to show you London and all it has to offer, it's my favourite city! Having played a variety of historical characters in London museums, I am experienced in bringing major sites to life especially the Royal Observatory Greenwich, The Science Museum, The London Transport Museum, the Museum of London and the Imperial War museum. Another passion of mine is the history of transport; cars, buses, planes, the military and our industrial heritage.
If you choose to visit outside the Capital then Stratford on Avon, Salisbury, Stonehenge, Bath and Canterbury are all possibilities. I am happy to work with all ages; individuals, families or groups.
Please get in touch, I'm looking forward to hearing from you.
Tim.
