Introduction:
The joy of working as a Guide is meeting lots of visitors, and making their holiday the best possible experience. I welcome day visitors but also regularly undertake tours around Britain as a Tour Manager - A delight because we have such a diversity of landscapes, historic sites and experiences to offer visitors. I regularly work with groups from the USA, Australia, Canada, India, and people from SE Asia and I'm often complimented on my very clear diction.
First time visitors will probably want to visit all the London attractions, as well as Bath, Brighton, Canterbury, Oxford, Salisbury, Stratford upon Avon, Warwick, Stonehenge, York and Windsor, plus the homes of writers, the rich and famous or royalty.
I am a Garden Tours specialist and in Spring and Summer visitors are amazed at the abundant colour, calm and beauty found in our historic and contempory gardens. If you are based in London, there are many opportunities to see fabulous gardens - just 90mins away, in Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Berkshire or Oxfordshire.
If you want to go further - the choice is almost unlimited - from the Gardens of the Lake District to the semi-tropical gardens of the South West Coast of England. A keen walker, I also offer walks in historic towns, walks along our dramatic coastline, plus "A Day in the Country" walks (taking in a traditional pub for lunch).
Let me help you plan interesting excursions or tours for you or a group - anywhere in the UK. British Groups may be looking for smaller unusual attractions - off the beaten track - to match their interests and budget. Other incoming groups may demand a Scenic Tour encompassing all aspects of British life, or a Garden Tour, a visit to a Music Festival, or Special International Event. For student groups (UK and overseas) I can prepare visit "worksheets" to reinforce English language learning.
I am always open to new ideas, love meeting people from all over the world and want to share our great heritage. I now look forward to meeting you. Sally
