I am fortunate to live in the beautiful county of Dorset and to also have a base in the magnificent medieval city of Salisbury. I am passionate about history both ancient and modern and recently obtained a Masters degree in First World War Studies.
This region has so much to offer from the Unesco World Heritage sites of Stonehenge and Avebury, Iron Age Hill Forts, Roman villas, Saxon towns, Norman churches and castles. The medieval cathedral city of Salisbury, Tudor halls, Georgian estates and Victorian mansions, not to forget the landscape itself. From the Unesco Jurassic Coast, through Wessex where Thomas Hardy was inspired to write his enduring novels, the Royal hunting reserve of Cranborne Chase and the rolling plains of Wiltshire.
My aim is to share my enthusiasm and to give insights into the iconic buildings, places and events with which this region is so richly populated.
