Introduction:
Travelling has been an important part of my life, having lived in many cities in the world, including Rio, Sao Paulo, Paris, Milan, New York, Buenos Aires and Karlstad. But I always come back to the city I love, London.
I am a qualified tour guide, translator and EFL teacher. Languages and communication have always been incredibly important to me, and I guide in English, Swedish and Brazilian Portuguese.
I qualified in 2016 and was fortunate to be awarded the prize for the Best Overall Practical Exams:
Richard conveyed not only mastery and enthusiasm for the various sites and coach route, but also has that all important relaxed, warm and friendly manner. “Great enthusiasm matched with excellent commentary sums up why Richard has been awarded Best Overall Practical prize”
Come and explore some of the major sites of London with me, including Westminster Abbey, St Paul’s Cathedral, the National Gallery, Tate Modern, the British Museum and the Tower of London. Or visit further afield, including, Bath, Stonehenge, Salisbury, Canterbury, Windsor, Oxford, Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick.
Maybe you have been here many times before and have already seen all of these sites? Don’t worry - London still has so much to offer and there is always something new to visit in this ever changing city. I will be happy to tailor-make a tour that suits your needs. Even if you have been here many times before, there is always something new to visit in this ever-changing city.
I also have a particular interest in gender equality, diversity and gay life in England, and London is one of the most open and multicultural cities in the world. Let me show you how this side of London life developed.
I offer walking tours of different areas of London, including Soho, Bloomsbury and Covent Garden, and also tours exploring Legal London, showing how the law and legal profession have developed here.
I am also one of the official Guides at the All English Lawn Tennis Club (Wimbledon Championships).
