Hello and welcome to London.

I have been guiding in the UK, London and Europe for 10 years and I love my job.

I pride myself on a passion for history and above all, the animation of its stories and a bespoke, immersive experience that makes a tour truly memorable.

I try to make my tours experiences. I like to walk inside ruins, enter places not often visited or take to the top of Londons buildings for unrivalled views of London.

I like to show my guests the secret London, the local London, the unusual facts of our famous landmarks and the best parts of this small green island I call my home.

From traditional pubs to local markets, from the big sights to the most photogenic areas of the city I aim to avoid the crowds and get you to the best spots and to witness all the city has to offer.
I love the side streets, the hidden alleys and the secret parts of London that could almost transport you bak to a bygone era. From Shakespeare to Dickens, from Georgian kings to the fingerprints of our medieval monarchs.

From London in a day to Stonehenge and the countryside, I pride myself in getting as much as possible into your valuable time at a pace that suits you.

No matter which guide you choose, I wish you an enjoyable time in this great city.

"This is what all I really wanted to put in the review: Drop what you're doing and book a tour! Nicholas has the very prestigious Blue Badge and an idetic memory - which means he knows EVERYTHING about London and it's (very) long history! Wandering through the streets of the city, tucking into hidden alleys, gazing at the architecture - you'll never realize how many miles you've done because the entire journey feels like you've been transported back into history. His tour style is storytelling, which is made us very relaxed and instantly comfortable. Hidden gems tailored to your interests are peppered throughout the tour, making it such a special day. He took us to see things we didn't even KNOW we wanted to see. Nicholas is kind, humorous, genuine and affable -and he takes wonderful pictures!! It was the highlight of my trip and I can't wait to come back to London and do another tour."

'Nick was the perfect historical guide for London. Deeply knowledgeable, engaging, with an honest enthusiasm and passion for the subject. He's a talented lecturer and often assumes the character and accents of the historical persons he's describing, which is not only entertaining but also personalizes the character making it easier to understand the pressures and dilemmas these historical persons actually faced. If you want a engaging and fun day, learning where the bodies are buried? Nick's your guy.'

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour! Nicholas was very patient and tailored our tour to our interests and my walking ability (I'm on a cane). We came away with lots of wonderful memories and places to go back and explore! I would highly recommend Nicholas for any London tour!

Special Interests:

From Stonehenge to Avebury, from the Rollright Stone circle to the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford, I have ancient England flowing through my veins. I love going off the beaten track, visiting ancient Hillforts and taking my metal detector out onto the fields (with permission of course) We will enter burial mounds, visit Roman Ruins and see England from a totally different perspective.

This is Quintessntial England. The paintings that jogged an old memory. A view of the Sunset from a wheat field or an early start to watch the sun rise over Stonehenge. It is all about the memory, the photo and the smell that only comes from the open countryside. From country lanes to Pubs with the best grub in Britain. There is something for everyone in Southern England.

Castles & Palaces

Royal Windsor has its own charm . The Thames meanders its way past the ancient hillfort home to our Monarchs for a thousand years. Alternatively head for the ruined Castle of Corfe or the Stately home of Longleat or Belnheim. Experience ancient England as it once was. I pride myself in knowing the secret spots without tourists, the off the beaten track routes to the lesser known spots in and around these locations.

Churches & Cathedrals

From the Cotswolds and their parish churches, scarred by centuries of history to the grandest gothic Cathedrals of the land, there are echoes of the middle ages still linger within their walls. There is always a spot for reflection, the sound of a latin choir or even a visit to ancient burial sites that date from the Saxon times and before. The day is yours and we can customise it around your preferences.
