Introduction:
Former documentary maker, London story teller with the aim to enthral you with stories about our colourful characters of London.
Curious to delve and bring alive the past. My background supports my approach. BAHons Drama + directing BBC TV and investigative journalism. Passionate about our royal stories; A highlight was working for CBS on 2011 Royal Wedding and Joining the Queen on the river for her Diamond Jubilee. I grew up in Cambridge so love architecture, heritage and learning.
Happy to guide all groups small or large; including families, specialised groups, chauffeur driven; university students, UK school (Key stage history topics)
This year in Covid I’m loving developing a Bridgerton walk through Mayfair ‘thrilled with pleasure’; A royal consorts walk after the passing of our much admired Prince Philip to look at legacy and influence; a social history walk through my local area Chelsea and Battersea; and I am posting in my Insta account ‘footprintlondon’ all about men and women who have left their mark on our history. With lockdown I have a few virtual tours to offer too. Check me out.
Along side guiding I also work as a communication consultant with international business leaders on the art of storytelling. (LinkedIN Nadia Marchant Global Comms). What is their legacy? And disclosure is an element of leadership, knowing and understanding what makes people tick, delving into secrets.
Secrets of London fascinate me. In churchyards, parks, quiet corners.. Have been a regular story teller on BBC London radio on what to do in the early hours.. Southwark secrets, Lambeth and Westminster Women at war, The Crown TV Royal stories, Halloween scares, a pub trail, park trail..
And there is more.. when all our museums, art galleries and royal venues open.
Happy to tailor a visit to suit your needs. Get in touch.
