Hello
My name is Melissa and I am a London Blue Badge Tourist Guide. That means that I have been through an intensive training course so I can take you, your family, friends or work colleagues on an enjoyable, informative and professionally run trip around my wonderful home city and beyond.
Personally speaking, I have a friendly, outgoing and (some may say) witty personality. I previously worked in Public Relations agencies, so am used to presenting and I have even given stand-up comedy a try.
I was delighted to qualify as a London Blue Badge Tourist Guide in 2012.
Since then, I have guided a variety of visitors, from two people in a private car, family groups in minibuses, all the way to coach loads of corporate clients. I am happy to tailor your experience to whatever suits you with a bespoke programme but as a starting point, we could visit the most popular tourist destinations in London, such as The Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, The British Museum and Greenwich, as well as art galleries and other museums. I can also fit in some Harry Potter locations, a Jewish East End tour or a street art walk around Hackney Wick, a neighbourhood being transformed.
Outside London, I am very happy to arrange private transportation or we can sometimes take the train to spend the day visiting Windsor Castle, Oxford, Stratford-upon-Avon, Stonehenge, Bath and other historical and cultural places of interest.
In January 2023 I was delighted to qualify as a French-speaking guide.
I like to think of myself as friendly, chatty, outgoing and interested in finding out what my clients really want out of their day, so I can give them the best experience possible.
I look forward to hearing from you and wish you happy travels.
Melissa
