Having been a guide for most of my working life, I can offer an extensive repertoire of tours, from Kensington to Piccadilly or Bloomsbury, or Clerkenwell and Islington, for which I have a special qualification.
Living in East London, I enjoy this rapidly-developing area - the City, East End, Docklands, Wapping, Limehouse, Shadwell, Bow, Mile End, Stepney Green, Shoreditch, Hoxton, Hackney, Bethnal Green and Greenwich.
"We want to thank you sincerely for probably the best parts of our best trip ever. Your well prepared tour to Wapping was especially wonderful". Marshall Pace, the Pace Society of America, September 2016.
In East London, swans swim on waters once contaminated with industrial waste from centuries of manufacture - gunpowder, rockets, chemicals (plastic was made here for the first time), soap and food for London's rapidly increasing population. This is the site of the 2012 Olympic Park.
Favourite themes: urban regeneration, contemporary architecture, parks and gardens. I offer tours by coach, public transport, on foot or bicycle. I like adult groups of any nationality, or French and German schoolchildren, who are particularly fond of Sherlock Holmes, Charles Dickens and Jack the Ripper stories. (I speak French and German).
I am a registered City guide and member of the City of London Guide Lecturers Association. Walk with me through the narrow medieval streets of the City, where historic churches and livery company halls nestle below the tall glass towers of multinational companies.
I am a Palace of Westminster (Parliament) guide.
I also like to take longer tours, to Kent, Southern England and the rugged coast of Cornwall, or to the North of England, Scotland and Wales, with their beautiful scenery, castles, cathedrals and stately homes.
Due to frequent changes in climate and topography, there is a huge variety of gardens in Britain and the Continent of Europe,. For many years, I have escorted tours in France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Benelux, sometimes to the Czech Republic or as far as Russia, Poland, Mongolia, India and China.

East London is one of the most important centres of street art in the world. It frequently changes, so it is always worth revisiting. I'd be glad to take you on a tour.
I take regular "Regeneration" tours in East London, especially Docklands and Stratford, site of the 2012 Olympic Games.
