Introduction:
I successfully completed the Institute of Tourist Guiding North East England Blue Badge Examinations in August 2021 and am qualified to take tours throughout the North East of England.
Since completing my qualification, I have undertaken coach tours of North East England from cruise ships entering the port of Tyne and I have undertaken bespoke tours throughout the North East using a hired mini bus and driver. I specialise in organising walking tours of Newcastle upon Tyne and Durham.
I started my career in 1980, when I joined Canadian Pacific Bulkships as a engineer cadet. I then completed a Degree in Mechanical Engineering at Newcastle University in 1987.
Following a year with Babcock Energy, I joined Northumbrian Water in 1988 as a consultant. Over the last 30 years, I have managed a wide range of major capital and refurbishment contracts as well as being a Mechanical Engineer. I am a Fellow Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.

| Maritime Britain | As a qualified 4th Engineer in the Merchant Navy, I have a passionate interest in all aspects of marine heritage and ships |
