Special Interests:

Agriculture

Scottish agriculture has changed greatly over the centuries, which I find fascinating. I have a farm and keep Scottish Blackface and North Country Cheviot Sheep.

Food & Drink

Enjoying Scotland's unique local delicacies can enhance a tour. Scotland is proud of its produce from the finest seafood to beef and lamb and vegetables and fruits especially the delicious Scottish strawberries and raspberries.Of course no tour of Scotland is complete without trying haggis or a wee dram of the finest single malt whisky!

Decorative Arts/Arts & Crafts

I am also a professional interior designer and find the production of all craftwork fancinating , having done much myself. Traditional craftwork has to survive today.

Folklore & Traditions

Scottish customs from cradle to grave are part of our traditions. Superstition also play a hone part even today.

Walking Tours

Edinburgh is ideal to explore on foot, through the old town, The Royal Mile and around The Georgian Newtown.

Conferences & Incentives

I am the scottish office of an event mangement company, specialising in corporate hospitality, incentives and conferences worldwide.

Regional Tours

I am happy to accompany visitors throughout Scotland including the mainland, outer and inner Hebrudes, Orkney and Shetland.

Religion

The Island of Iona has an important place in the history of Christianity in Britain. Along with the Isle of Mull, it is a worthwhile visit.

Castles & Palaces

Castles and palaces, whether furnished, unfurnished or in a ruinous state are wonderful places to explore, which I find fascinating.

Stately Homes & Country Houses

Many of these buildings are still private which are lived in, therefore wonderful places to enjoy fine furniture, paintings, tapestries, porcelain and afternoon tea.
