'Thank you very much for a wonderful introduction to the British Museum - we have all been left with a hunger for more. It was the right pace and depth - I really appreciate the time you spent with us and your breadth of knowledge.' Andrea Nolan, Vice Chancellor, Edinburgh Napier University (British Museum Tour, February 2019)
'We both thought our guide was quite exceptional and would interest anybody in what she was saying; so well versed in her subject without being too academic..' Irene and Hector (British Museum, March 2018)
'We had a wonderful time visiting both Westminster Abbey and the Churchill War Rooms with Leila and very much appreciated all of the incredible knowledge and insights she passed on so efficiently. We had visited the Abbey previously but didn’t learn even 10% on that visit compared to the time with Leila. ' Chris, US financier (November 2018)
'Leila, that was such an interesting and enjoyable visit to the British Museum, I wanted to thank you ASAP. Both of us realise we should visit more often now that you have reawakened us to what an amazing gem it is. Many, many thanks.' Meg and James from Kent (February 2019)
I have just developed a British Museum highlights tour with a special focus on China for 2019. This is a two part tour starting with staple treasures like the Rosetta Stone, Assyrian lion hunt reliefs and the Parthenon Marbles. Part two, after a shared refreshment stop continues with an in-depth look at 5000 years of breathtaking Chinese civilisation from Neolithic jades and bronzes to the Last Emperor Puyi.
Also new for 2019 is my child-focussed family tour of the V&A that takes in Tigers, Mantua dresses, enormous beds and the funniest teapot in the world. Great fun and very educational. Grown-ups will learn a lot as well!
Let me take you to Greenwich, Windsor, Oxford, Canterbury, Salisbury, Bath or Stonehenge, or just for a walk through Westminster and the West End of London.
France has been my second home since childhood and I am bilingual with French. My hobbies are reading, writing and drawing.
My calendar here is rarely updated so do just pop me an email to check my availability.
I look forward to hearing from you!
'Leila managed to shepherd us round with great charm and found something fresh and interesting to say about everything we saw.' March 2018
