Cheshire born and bred, I qualified as a Green Badge Guide for Chester in 2022 after 30 years working in international trade. I’d love to welcome you on a walking tour of this beautiful and historic city.

Chester has more than 2000 years of history to explore; from a Roman fortress to a thriving 21st century city, via battling Saxons and Vikings, Norman Earls, a Civil War siege, Georgian high society balls, Victorian prosperity, and 20th century restoration. It’s long been a destination for tourists and those seeking rest and relaxation – with some great shopping and eating thrown in!

Its city walls, ancient buildings, streets, and lanes have many stories to tell. I can show you all the “must-see” sights, as well as some hidden spots. I’m happy to work with you to devise a bespoke tour that will help you make the very most of your time in Chester.

I’m particularly interested in the stories of the many amazing women who founded, defended, and helped shape this ancient city. I’d love to share these with you on a walk through the city streets, as well as giving you the inside track on today’s city and all it has to offer.
