Introduction:

I am specialist London Blue Badge guide with 20 years experience and a passion for theatre and literature. A journalist and reformed actress, I've also a published author, my book “Royal London - The Haunts and Hideouts of Kings and Queens" is a lighthearted guide to all things royal in London .

In recent years I have worked as a television presenter , appearing in a series of thirteen in-depth travel programmes for Discovery Television's "London Next Stop" and am currently hosting Virtual Tours of London on line.

I love showing visitors London , whether it's the well- known sites with all their pomp and circumstance or the hidden alleys and courtyards, it's always a delight to share my knowledge and to hear peoples reactions and insights into the city they are exploring. I do pride myself on revealing some of London's secrets too and in creating bespoke tours for those with specific interests.

I was also won the "Blue Badge Guide of the Year" award when I qualified in 2002 and was listed by “Travel and Leisure Magazine” as one of the World’s Greatest Tour Guides

“Karen is a fabulous guide. We did a 4 hour private walking tour of Westminster with her and loved every minute. Karen is very knowledgeable. We would book with her again.” Tripadvisor June 2019

“Karen was delightfully energetic and engaging . The content of the walk was filled with beautiful quiet corners of London” Tripadvisor Select Travel May 2017

"As always we were dazzled by Karen's masterful story telling, infectious enthusiasm and consummate professionalism.” Professor Ryan Claycomb WVU. April 2015
