ABOUT ME: Graduated as Guide of the Year in 2013, the Institute of Tourist Guiding's prestigious prize given to one student in each cohort. Passionate about my city of Liverpool where I was raised and keen to share my knowledge and enthusiasm with you. Been guiding in Liverpool since 2006 and also worked as a Tour Manager in France and England. I trade as "Liverpool Entente Cordiale Tours" and also "Peaky Location Tours" for specialist Peaky Blinders filming locations tours.
I trained as a linguist (graduate in French with Japanese) with a background in University teaching of English in France and Japan and held the Cambridge University CELTA qualification for Teaching English to non-English speakers so sympathetic to the needs of non-native speakers.
COACH TOURS: As well as coach tours of Liverpool, I also offer tours to Southport, Port Sunlight and Chester (must start in Liverpool) as well as Beatles and Peaky Blinders tours.
WALKS: I offer an introductory walk to the city along the World Heritage waterfront called "Historical Liverpool Walk" as well as 25 more detailed guided walks for groups. Winner of a prize for creating a walk in a contest held by Liverpool RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects).
SITE VISITS: I also offer guided tours of both cathedrals in Liverpool, the Walker Art Gallery, the Lady Lever Art Gallery and Speke Hall.
PEAKY BLINDERS: As a huge fan of the BBC drama show Peaky Blinders, who has seen filming, attended premieres, met most the cast and interviewed several of them at the Series 5 premiere, I was the first to offer a Peaky Locations tour both of Liverpool and of Manchester. I offer Peaky Blinders filming location tours for groups and on behalf of coach operators, viewing at least 15 sites on my half-day tour with the addition of Tommy's mansion on the full-day tour as well as bespoke tours. I also offer private chauffuer-driven tours for up to 5 people. See my reviews and press articles on my dedicated website: http://www.peakylocationstours.com
VIRTUAL TOURS I am now accredited by the Guild to offer virtual tours from the comfort of your living room or office. I have several available - see under Group Walks on my website.
