I began Bronte Walks in 2012 and it is growing into a small and flourishing tour business. My family are from Yorkshire and I have a deep love of its history and landscape. My personal passion is the story of the Bronte Family, I live just outside Haworth and I love guiding people over the moors and through the village. I use their letters, poems and writing to weave their story into the fabric of the times.
My working life has been spent in the Voluntary Sector, working within the arts, adult education, community education and lately in the area of bereavement support. I love Yorkshire and I love tailoring tours to meet peoples needs and interests. I have a light touch with words and can tell a story.

Bronte Walks, Johnnie Briggs and associates, love working with schools, colleges, universities and associations. We provide walking tours, speakers and when visiting Haworth we can provide a base with excellent facilities as well as lunches and teas.
I offer a range of tours based on the Brontes. I am developing a range of tours based on the works of Winifred Holtby and her friendship with Vera Brittain.
I offer waking tours of Haworth and the Brontes as well as York Minster and the history of Tudor York. For 2017 I am developing a range of tours based on Hull to help celebrate the City as the Capital of Culture.
