In 2012 I moved back to Yorkshire after many years working overseas, and realised just how much this beautiful and historic county has to offer visitors. After qualifying as a Blue Badge Guide I am now delighted to be able to share Yorkshire's story and magnificent countryside with visitors from both far and near.

Geography & Geology | With a background in chemistry and engineering I can relate the geology of Yorkshire to the history of mineral extraction and processing. |
Churches & Cathedrals | Qualified York Minster Guide and familiar with Yorkshire's other Minsters, Cathedrals, Abbeys and historic churches |
Stately Homes & Country Houses | Yorkshire has a wealth of magnificent houses and gardens - Castle Howard and Harewood House are probably the most well known, but there are many others each with their own story to tell. |
Castles & Palaces | Yorkshire has been border country since Roman times, and this is reflected in the number and size of castles built to defend it. From Richmond in the north to Conisbrough in the south there are several, and each in a magnificent setting. |
Walking Tours | Historic cities, market towns and magnificent scenery make walking in Yorkshire a pleasure. |
Gardens | Beautiful gardens make summer visits to Yorkshire a special treat, and don't miss the wild flower filled hay meadows, bluebell woods, purple heather ........ |
