Introduction:

Thank you for landing on my profile - and I would love to show you London and take you on day trips outside London. London is such a great city - there's always somewhere new to discover and explore! Whether you're new to London or an old-timer I can make your visit to London a memorable one.

We could go to Westminster Abbey, the Tower of London, Kensington Palace, St Paul's Cathedral, the National Gallery, the British Museum, the Tate Galleries, the Victoria & Albert Museum and the Wallace Collection. I can do Highlights Tours or In depth tours of these sites, depending on your time available and personal interests.

If you would like a walking tour, there's many to choose from including the financial district of the City of London, Soho, Clerkenwell, Shoreditch, Chelsea, Westminster, Fleet Street, St James', Mayfair, Covent Garden, Bloomsbury, the Royal Parks and Wimbledon. Themed tours include the Irish in London, literary London, Royal London, Dickens' London and financial London.

Out of London, I am qualified to guide in Windsor, Hampton Court, Greenwich, Stratford-on-Avon, Stonehenge, Salisbury, Bath, the Cotswolds, Canterbury and Oxford.

About me - I grew up in my father’s hotel in Dublin, Ireland and despite early attempts to branch out I have consistently returned to the hospitality industry in various guises. Having graduated in Natural Sciences from Trinity College, Dublin, I moved to London, qualifying as a chartered accountant with PWC where my clients included the InterContinental Hotel Group. Following a spell in finance with Trusthouse Forte Hotels I returned to PWC's Tourism & Leisure Group looking at investment opportunities, hotel feasibility studies and development opportunities in the museum sector. I was lucky enough to work in Hungary and Poland following the fall of the Berlin Wall, privatizing state owned hotel and leisure groups. Having taken a break to raise my 3 children I then undertook an intensive 2 year course in London launching my guiding career. I qualified as a Blue Badge guide in 2011 winning the “Coach Guide of The Year” award. I have since undertaken further courses in the City of London, Windsor & Eton, and I am currently studying Medieval Art and Architecture at the Victoria & Albert Museum.

I love working with school, student and family groups and can plan days out of London as well as jam-packed explorations of “The Big Smoke”. My aim is to make sure everyone has a great time and comes away loving London as much as I do!
