Special Interests:
Archaeology | I am involved with archaeological studies and professionally led 'digs' in my spare time. I gained the Certificate in Practical Archaeology, (Sussex University), in 2001. |
Environment | I am involved in 'green issues' and promoting countryside issues. I use the in-depth information gained in coach commentaries, slide talks and walking tours. |
Ethnic Britain | My interest in ethnic origins reflects a childhood spent away from Britain. |
History & Prehistory | I aim to give well-researched information on these subjects which is also entertaining. |
Theatre | The history of theatre and also modern theatre are important to me. I can arrange trips to live shows, also more in depth experiences involving theatre - related buildings, back-stage visits etc. |
Walking Tours | I started a series of successful walking tours in 1992, which now include urban tours, (Rye, Hastings, Battle, Winchelsea), and footpath walks for active groups. |
Agriculture | I live in an almost exclusively farming area. I can take people to see our farms and meet the locals. |
Lecture Subjects | Power point talks which include among others Roman and Mediaeval archaeology, the Mediaeval Wine trade from Bordeaux and talks on voice production. |
Stately Homes & Country Houses | Tours which include all styles from Fishbourne Roman Palace to Modern Great Buildings. |
