Introduction:

I am a driver guide who loves London and am keen to share my knowledge and enthusiasm with you. I will collect you and your family from your hotel in my Mercedes with panoramic glass-roof saloon car, and drive you around the city and beyond.

A full day or half day can be planned around your own tastes and interests. You might enjoy a London tour of some of the most famous sights in the world and combine this with a walk round some of the lesser known streets and alleys. The treasures of our best galleries and museums may be more to your taste or if you are a family, I'll make sure it is something the children will enjoy. I'm a big fan of The Crown and Downton Abbey and also, Regency England including Jane Austen and Bridgerton are favourites.

We can drive out of London to visit Hampton Court, Windsor, Oxford, Cotswolds, Stonehenge or Bath and many, many more including gardens, castles, villages, great houses.....the list goes on and on. Children very welcome!

"We just arrived back in San Francisco. I wanted to take a moment to thank you again for providing us with such a fabulous tour of your incredible country. Your wonderful stories of historical events and people kept us captivated, and the depth and breadth of your knowledge made our trip so much more enjoyable than we could have hoped for. Most of all, we loved getting to know you. Take good care!"
With MUCH appreciation,
Kathryn, Eric, Quin, and Abby

"I just wanted to sit down and take the time to send you an official “THANK YOU!!” for your help during our recent visit to London. We so much enjoyed your company and you sharing your knowledge of London with us. My only regret is that we did not have more time to spend in your wonderful city."
Dean, Louisiana

"We had an absolutely amazing trip. The highlight for the kids is still the Harry Potter tour (although they loved the Tower of London and the London Eye also). We have already recommended you to a bunch of our friends."
Karen, New York

"I feel we started with a guide and ended with a friend."
Hal and Mad, New York State

"It made my heart sing just to think of the wonderful trip and the time we spent with you. I had expected the girls to grumble about the days with the guide and instead you made those days the highlight of the trip."
Jann, Arkansas

Personal Interests:

Family tours - all ages will have a fun day out and I love meeting children, teenagers and the older generation
History - so many stories and anecdotes including executed kings, imprisoned princesses - we have them all
Galleries & Museums - enjoy the highlights of the British Museum, Museum of London and National Gallery
Churchill: Our fascinating British hero and visits to Chartwell and Blenheim Palace add so much.
Towns and cities near London including Bath, Stratford, Canterbury and Oxford.

Special Interests:

Stately Homes & Country Houses

I am a keen Downton Abbey fan and love taking people to Highclere Castle where the programme is mainly filmed and also into the Cotswolds to see the lovely villages used in the filming. After all, what could be better than a day spent with Lady Mary and the Earl of Grantham!

Royalty
Castles & Palaces

Leeds, Hever and all historic castles - knights in shining armour, lady loves and wonderful history. The delights of Windsor, Blenheim, Hampton Court Palace, Sudeley, Dover and many more!

Literature

Jane Austen tours are a speciality - staring in London and on to Hampshire and her delightful last home.

Harry Potter too - see many of the places that actually appear in the film

Thomas Hardy lived in one of the most beautiful parts of the country. See how this fed into his novels and also see where he grew up and settled in life.

History & Prehistory

Everywhere we go, in London and beyond, England is bursting with fascinating history. Hampton Court Palace, home of Henry VIII with it's charming gardens is a particular favourite.

Georgian Bath is a particular favourite - one of only two World Heritage Site entire cities in the world!

Ethnic Britain

Lets look at Jewish London from the first arrivals after 1066 to the wealthy Sephardi community of the the 1650's and on to the present day. We have a wonderful Jewish Museum, beautiful synagogues and many many stories!

Museums

Touring a museum with a guide adds so much to the experience. I will select some of the most interesting items, know where to find them and bring them to life. I am happy to guide in the British Museum, National Gallery and the V&A.
