London offers a whole world of spectacle, excitement, entertainment, history, culture and more.

I have lived in London for 30 years and it still surprises and excites me, and I look forward to sharing my expertise and enthusiasm with you when you visit. Together we can explore the incredible variety London has to offer: from the Royal majesty of The Tower of London and Westminster Abbey to the futuristic skyline of the City of London's architecture to the funky back streets and hidden alleyways of Soho, Shoreditch and beyond... I can also make sure you stay well-refreshed, be it in a traditional pub or tea room, or one of London's more modern & exclusive bars and dining venues.

In my previous life, I made documentary films, so I know how to bring a good story to life - and London certainly has plenty of those, ranging from Royalty and Rogues, War and Fire, Writers and Artists, James Bond and Harry Potter - and how to custom-build a day out or a tour to suit any particular audience, be they young or old, specialists or people just looking for a fun time on vacation.

If you want to spend a day out of the city, I can take you and your group to the beautiful Cotswolds, the 'dreaming spires' of the University (and the pubs of Inspector Morse!) around Oxford; visit historic and fabulous Bath and Stonehenge. Get in touch and we can make a plan for a great day out.

Whether you're coming to London as a couple, family, large or small group, I will make sure you see the very best London & beyond has to offer and make it a truly memorable visit.

Special Interests:

Music

As a band-member and composer since my teens, music is in my blood and my enthusiasm for music ranging from Handel to Hendrix and from Rock to Opera is matched only by the richness of variety London has to offer. I can take you on a custom-made tour if you're a fan of the Beatles, David Bowie, the Rolling Stones and more.

Media

I have worked in Film & TV for the last 30 years, so I know a fair bit about filming in London and beyond. So if you fancy acting out scenes from the Harry Potter or James Bond films in the very spot where they were filmed, or perhaps fancy a cup of tea in the cafe beneath Sherlock Holmes & Dr. Watson's flat, I can take you there and share some of the secrets of making the films.

History & Prehistory

London and the World's history are in the fabric of some of the most famous buildings on Earth: The Tower of London, St. Paul's Cathedral, The British Museum still knock me out when I visit them, and I look forward to sharing my enthusiasm with you. Also explore the London of Kings and Queens, World War 2 and more.

Walking Tours

From exploring Soho's rich, and sometimes shady, past to the breathtaking views of the River Thames. From the splendour of Kensington to the street style of Shoreditch, I can take you down the hidden streets, show you things you might otherwise miss and tell some great stories along the way.

Maritime Britain

London has a rich and varied history of life at Sea - whether it's the Royal Navy, what was once the busiest port in the world the Docklands, or the daring adventures of the great explorers such as Scott and Shackleton. We can have an adventurous time ourselves discovering these stories, whether it be on the River Thames, in Greenwich or Central London. I can also guarantee no chance of scurvy or frostbite!

Museums

London's museums are world famous and sometimes overwhelming in size, so I can show you the highlights of the National Gallery, British Museum, Science Museum or any other that piques you or your family's interest. Plenty of interest, fun, great stories and tea breaks guaranteed.
