To engage, entertain, educate, enrich and inspire - these are my goals whenever I lead my guests on a guided tour. It gives me immense satisfaction to introduce visitors to the wonderful county of Yorkshire and to sprinkle their experience with storytelling - stories of local history, local legends and folklore, local characters, local food and drink, local music (I'm always ready to sing a song!) and to inject some fun and humour as well.
Whether travelling alone, with your family or with a group, I can provide walking tours, coach tours or an exclusive chauffeur-driven tour together with one of my driver-guide colleagues.
Yorkshire is Britain's largest county, with a wealth of historic tradition, an abundance of spectacular scenery, two national parks, vibrant cities, picturesque villages, grand stately homes and of course the famous Yorkshire pudding - all waiting to be discovered by you!

My background is as a Modern Languages teacher (French and German) and as Principal of an English Language School (EFL) and I have organised and led tours for students both in the UK and in France.
I play the Northumbrian pipes, guitar and ukulele and love traditional folk tunes and songs.

York is the most haunted city in Europe with over 500 reported sightings and some great stories!
As a keen photographer, I can show you the best angles in picturesque York and Yorkshire.
