Introduction:

I live in the historic city of Winchester which I know intimately and can introduce visitors to the Medieval Cathedral, and King Arthur's Round Table in the Great Hall of Winchester Castle. Jane Austen had close associations with Winchester and is buried in the Cathedral, and the poet John Keats walked the water meadows of the River Itchen and was inspired to compose 'To Autumn'.

Other areas of interest include Salisbury and Stonehenge, The Isle of Wight, Oxford, Southampton, Portsmouth, Chawton.

I am happy to discuss your requirements and create an itinerary to suit you.

Personal Interests:

Winchester, Cathedral, Great Hall, St. Cross.
Natural Environment, Stonehenge, Salisbury, New Forest, Isle of Wight
Windsor Castle, Hampton Court, Historic Houses, Jane Austen
Disabled , Children
I am a Winchester based guide and am happy to take walking groups or coach trips or a combination of the two and to create a tailor-made itinerary.

Special Interests:

Environment

I have a great love of nature and the outdoors: I enjoy linking this to the history of an area so that visitors can understand not just what they see and its history, but also why it is there. This includes the geology of an area and its effect on the settlement patterns and on the vegetation and animal life.
