Introduction:
I qualified as a Chemical Engineer in 1975 and went on to a career in the Oil Industry lasting 35 years, during which time I obtained a Masters Degree in Petroleum Engineering from Imperial College in London. I have lived and worked in a number of locations around the UK as well as overseas in Cairo and Canton. Latterly my job took me to many places around the world including the USA, Russia, Argentina, Vietnam, South Korea, Angola and Azerbaijan.
I have always had interest in and passion for London, which has been my home for the last thirty years. Qualifying as a Blue Badge guide has now given me the opportunity to share some of what I have learnt with visitors to the Capital.
I am married to Jean who comes from Aberdeen and we have three sons and six granddaughters, unbelievable!!
