Contact guide

A Welsh speaking professional Blue Badge guide with over 35 years in travel and tourism. I am an experienced tour planner and manager in addition to being a fun guide. From Chester and Liverpool to anywhere in Wales I offer an extensive range of tours for 2 to 50 people and I'm happy to meet your clients anywhere around the UK including all ports and airports.

I have guided many nationalities over the years from all parts of the globe, so Croeso i Gymru/ Welcome to Wales and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Personal Interests:

I have eclectic tastes and knowledge from history and it's people - everything from the Romans to present day Wales. Gardens, Art, Historic houses & castles, medieval towns, local food & drink and especially sheep!

Special Interests:

Stately Homes & Country Houses

I have many contacts for privately owned historic houses, castles and gardens in Wales, some of which are open to the public and some of which are only accessible as a private tour. So if you have a select group who are looking for something special, then please get in touch.

I have been a huge fan of the Antiques Road Show & Flog it! for many years and have a friend who was on these programmes and now runs his own auction house and I work with him on my antiques themed tours. I am a collector of Welsh art and Staffordshire ceramics.

Art/Paintings & Sculpture

Wales has produced some great painters such as Sir Kyffin Williams to Richard Wilson who some consider to be the father of landscape painting. We also house the famous Davies Sisters collection of largely impressionist art, such as Renoir, Monet, Manet, Pissaro and Rodin.

Castles & Palaces

There were originally 641 castles in Wales and whilst many have now gone, the quality of our medieval walled towns and castles is second to none - so much so that 4 of them make up one of Wales' World Heritage Sites. I can offer tours around Wales' medieval towns and castles including who built them and why, to how life went on both before, during and after they were built.

Churches & Cathedrals

The history of religion goes hand in hand with a visit to Wales - home of the non conformists and religious dissenters of all kinds. I can take you on an eclectic mix from abbeys and monasteries to Welsh chapels and Victorian Gothic revival masterpieces and cathedrals.

Regional Tours

My Highlights tours around all or parts of Wales are very popular and can include royalty & medieval castles, local food & drink, art & landscape including the life of a hill sheep farmer and the drovers who were so important in Welsh history. Our own capital city of Cardiff has much to offer from the Senedd or Parliament, Wales Millennium Centre to Cardiff castle, modern shopping, Cardiff Bay and so much more.
