If you have a small group or large coach there's so much to choose from in beautiful Wales including the jaw-dropping scenery, stunning gardens, formidable World Heritage Site castles and more sheep than you can shake a shepherd's crook at! So let me help you choose the best tour for you or your clients. I am a professional and fun Blue Badge tour guide for all of Wales and offer very competitive rates for anything from a couple of hours to a full tour around Wales. Additionally, I can offer walking tours of fabulous Roman Chester or Liverpool's Historic Waterfront.
Please take a look at my website for ideas for you or your client's visit. You'll find new and best seller tours, in addition to tours of well known places such as Conwy, Caernarfon, Anglesey, Swansea and Cardiff.
I'm happy to meet you or your clients anywhere in the UK, whether airport, rail or sea arrival.
|I have eclectic tastes and interests which fit so well with everything Wales has to offer!|
|Stately Homes & Country Houses||
If you have a select group you may wish to consider an exclusive visit to one of Wales' privately owned stately homes, such as North Wales' Brynkinalt Hall with its links to the Duke of Wellington. There are many other historic houses which have history oozing out of every stone and whose owners will take you on a private tour of their home.
I have been a huge fan of the Antiques Road Show & Flog it! for many years and have a friend who was on these programmes and now runs his own auction house and I work with him on my antiques themed tours. I am a collector of Welsh art and Staffordshire ceramics.
|Art/Paintings & Sculpture||
Wales has produced some great painters such as Sir Kyffin Williams to Richard Wilson who some consider to be the father of landscape painting. We also house the famous Davies Sisters collection of largely impressionist art, such as Renoir, Monet, Manet, Pissaro and Rodin.
|Castles & Palaces||
There were originally 641 castles in Wales and whilst many have now gone, the quality of our medieval walled towns and castles is second to none - so much so that 4 of them make up one of Wales' World Heritage Sites. I can offer tours around Wales' medieval towns and castles including who built them and why, to how life went on both before, during and after they were built.
|Churches & Cathedrals||
The history of religion goes hand in hand with a visit to Wales - home of the non conformists and religious dissenters of all kinds. I can take you on an eclectic mix from abbeys and monasteries to Welsh chapels and Victorian Gothic revival masterpieces and cathedrals.
My Highlights tours around all or parts of Wales are very popular and can include royalty & medieval castles, local food & drink, art & landscape including the life of a hill sheep farmer and the drovers who were so important in Welsh history. Our own capital city of Cardiff has much to offer from the Senedd or Parliament, Wales Millennium Centre to Cardiff castle, modern shopping, Cardiff Bay and so much more.
