Special Interests:

Street Art

This tour takes us through one of London’s most vibrant areas, the East End. Walking through Spitalfields, Brick Lane and Shoreditch, we will see how these streets act as galleries showcasing the current dynamic street art scene. We will see different styles of art ranging from stencils to aerosol painting, from paste ups to mini sculptures. We will see the works of many artists such as Stik, Nathan Bowen, Eine Bambi, Zabou, Roa, Jimmy C and the scarlet pimpernel of the street art scene, Banksy.
I also lead Street Art tours in other areas in London for example Camden.

Transport

Hear the story of public transport in London, from horse power to electric and motorised power. I can guide you in the London Transport Museum and showcase our transport heritage.

Architecture

London's history can be told through its buildings. From Medieval to Renaissance, from Georgian to Victorian, from 20th to 21st Century. I can theme a buildings tour for you in London or just showcase the best!

Medicine

I lead medical walks in London passing some of the oldest hospitals and medical institutions. Hear tales of medical history and characters and of the diseases and cures.

Art/Paintings & Sculpture

London is full of art, both in the streets and in the galleries. I offer guided tours of the major galleries including the National Gallery, Tate Britain and Tate Modern and the National Portrait Gallery.
London also has a host of small independent art galleries. They are mainly located in central London and they show the works of top well established artists as well as exciting new comers. This is an opportunity to see and possibly even purchase great art in small intimate galleries

Conferences & Incentives

Having worked in both the public and private sectors for a number of years I am aware of the demands of the corporate entertainment market. I would be delighted to showcase London to your guests, clients and staff

London Areas in Depth

Get to know the different neighbourhoods of London and the stories and characters of those areas. Walks can be themed; historical, fashion, arts, legal, financial or tours of specific villages that make up London.
I cover a number of areas in depth on my walking tours, for example the City of London, Notting Hill, Westminster, the East End , Covent Garden and Soho and other less central areas such as Camden Town, Peckham and Highgate.

Churches & Cathedrals

I can show you the wonders of one of the world's best known and best loved Cathedral's, St Paul's and the history and heritage of Westminster Abbey, as well as discovering the delights of the smaller and hidden churches in London.

Fashion

This walk takes us past the land of Bohemia and to the heart of the swinging ’60s, then through the classic and stylish Regent Street to where the bible of fashion is produced, Mayfair. We then walk along the golden mile of tailoring, and through the street where Royalty likes to shop. You will hear about British designers including the first Knight of fashion, the Dame of fashion, the Godmother of fashion and the Bad Boy of fashion!

Royalty

This walk takes you through the very heart of London! Starting in London’s most strategic Square and then taking the Royal processional route to Buckingham Palace, passing Clarence House where Prince Charles and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, live. Then through the lovely Royal Park of St James’ and if the timing suits we will take in the Guard Change and then on to Westminster Abbey where coronations have taken place since 1066, and a few royal weddings, too! We will see the Houses of Parliament and throw a bit of politics into this walk for good measure!

Law

Visit the Inns of Court, one of the most picturesque parts of London, steeped in history, where lawyers have lived and trained since medieval times. Walk through the warren of court yards and passageways whilst hearing stories of the colourful characters of the legal world. Continue on until we find the distinctive round nave of the Temple Church where the 13th century effigies of the Templar Knights lie. See where Shakespeare’s play Twelfth Night was premiered and learn why the Royal Courts of Justice was named the Legal Cathedral. See where our legal friends shop for wigs and gowns and where they find the time to play!

Business & Finance

The City of London, or the Square Mile as it is often called, is the financial capital of the UK and is one of the leading financial centres of the world. Our tour in the Square Mile includes the key financial institutions including the Bank of England, the London Metal Exchange, Lloyds Market and the Stock Exchange. We will also step off the main streets to visit some of the alleyways and hidden corners where city workers have wined and dined for hundreds of years. We will learn about the history of the City and its development into a major financial centre.

Decorative Arts/Arts & Crafts

Get to know the museum known as the Cathedral for the Decorative Arts, the Victoria and Albert Museum. As soon as you enter this magnificent museum, you will understand the reason why. I can guide you on a highlights tour or a more specialised tour, for example the Jewellery Gallery, the British Galleries, the Fashion Court or the new Medieval and Renaissance Galleries.
There are other wonderful venues to explore the decorative arts in London like the Wallace Collection or Leighton House

Shopping

London is a paradise for shoppers with famous stores like Harrods and Selfridges, and top shopping malls and many unique independent stores. If you are searching for designer wear or something a little more boho chic or ultra trendy you are in the right city. London has a range of shopping districts and I would be delighted to assist you with your London shopping experience

Food & Drink

The London food scene is buzzing. The key to this is the quality and variety of the produce that can be found both in shops and in the colourful markets across the capital. I can lead guests on food tours that include tastings and the stories behind the food producers

Walking Tours

I enjoy leading walking tours in London for a variety of different groups. Examples of areas covered are Soho, Shoreditch and Spitalfields, Notting Hill, Camden Town, Mayfair, Bloomsbury and the City. These walks can either be general or themed depending on the particular interests of the group
