I have been fortunate to call Cumbria home for almost twenty years and love exploring this eclectic corner of the country, which offers something for everyone. From stunning coastline, castles, stately homes and gardens, or industrial heritage that has helped shape the landscape as we know it today, there is plenty to discover. Whether you are visiting for the first time or making a favourite return journey to Cumbria there is so much to explore and so many hidden gems tucked away, sometimes off the beaten track and in some of the less well-known parts of the county. I would be happy to help make your visit special so that you will want to come back again and again.
I have a particular interest in traditional crafts and industries and am fascinated by the way in which people have worked on and with the land, making best use of the natural resources available to them. It is these working landscapes that I enjoy, seeking out beauty in what might, at first glance, appear to be a harsh, hostile environment. I also like exploring places that are beyond the boundary of the ever-popular Lake District National Park.
If you are not sure how to make the most of your time or have specific places you would like to visit but are uncertain how to fit everything together, why not get in touch and I can help you to have an enjoyable and hassle-free holiday in my adopted home county.
I am also a member of Cumbria Tourist Guides.
