Dr Samuel Johnson’s House is tucked away in the historic courts and alleys off Fleet Street. Samuel Johnson, the writer and wit, lived and worked here in the middle of the eighteenth century, compiling his great Dictionary of the English Language in the Garret. You have an opportunity to take a tour of the great lexicographer’s home with Celine Luppo McDaid (Donald Hyde Curator).
The number of places is restricted to 15, so book early to avoid disappointment. This tour includes a welcome drink upon arrival before the tour.
