Profile updated 18/04/18
As a Londoner born and bred, I offer a bespoke experience of my home town and surrounding areas. I have been a teacher of language and drama; flexibility and versatility are my key aims: to respect the client’s enthusiasms and to offer great tourist experiences within a broader picture of my city, as well as hidden gems.
My current enthusiasms in Spring 2018 are Churchill, London’s big architectural regeneration projects, and the stories of migrants. That’s on top of a sound foundation of art history and social history – as well as a family history of Polish, Irish and Italian migrants, with a cockney thread too.
Though I'm a Londoner, I have lived and studied in Oxford, and love guiding there; my degree from Cambridge is in English Language and Literature, so Shakespeare, Dickens and the London writers are always there in the background. I was educated on the banks of the Thames, and love to guide along its banks, wherever.
My starting point is the client, and what I enjoy most about guiding is the diversity of personalities and tastes among the people I meet.
