London Programme Application and Selection
Applicants have to apply for the training course in writing using the application form which can only be downloaded from this page (see below). Applicants should be aware that, due to prevailing market forces and the limited number of places available on the course, those who are fluent in a language other than English are more likely to be offered a place on the course.

All applicants will be asked to sit a pre-entry general knowledge test on Thursday 15th February 2018 in the evening at a Central London location. Shortly after the pre-entry test, selected candidates will be informed in writing and asked to attend an interview. Information on the pre-entry test can be read HERE
Interviews will take place in central London during the period of 10th to 24th March 2018 (including Saturdays). Offers of a place on the course will be posted by Friday 6th April 2018.
At interview candidates will need to demonstrate:
- Their understanding of the role of a Blue Badge Guide
- Sound communication skills
- The motivation to work as an independent professional and develop their own business
- An outgoing personality
- Smart appearance
- A genuine interest and concern for people
In addition, applicants will be asked about their organisational skills, flexibility, teamwork and reliability, and will be asked to give a short presentation in English without notes on a topic notified in advance.
Acceptance of a place for 2018-2020 course
Successful candidates’ acceptance letters (together with 50% of the fee) should be received by the course administrator by Monday 23rd April 2018.
The induction weekend for 2018-20 students will take place in central London on 12th & and 13th May 2018.
